Justine Wanda

Justine Wanda is a stand-up comedian, writer, and satirist based in Nairobi, Kenya. Known for blending observational satire with dark humor, she is the creator and host of Fake Woke With Justine, a satirical show tackling issues from election misinformation to period poverty and socio-economic inequalities across Africa.

Her comedy career highlights include opening for Hannibal Buress, performing at the Nairobi International Comedy Festival, and touring in South Africa, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, and Uganda. She has performed with Standup Collective’s Nairobi Laugh Bar, Punchline Comedy Club’s Laugh Act to Follow, and Because You Said So!

Beyond stand-up, Justine has written for shows including The Fareed Khimani Show, News By The Catalyst, Buni Media’s XYZ, and Zimbabwe’s Magamba TV. She also co-wrote episodes for Tuki?, an edutainment series on sexual and reproductive health by Girl Effect, and created the web series Influenced.

Currently, she co-hosts The Big Picture with award-winning journalist John-Allan Namu and Tom Mukhwana, further cementing her role as a leading African voice in comedy, commentary, and political satire.
