Dean Bhebhe

Bhekumuzi Dean Bhebhe is a PhD candidate at the University of the Witwatersrand and a 2018 Mandela Rhodes Scholar, with extensive experience designing and leading campaign strategies across Africa. His work, which bridges policy, advocacy, and grassroots mobilization, has advanced climate action and environmental justice across the continent. In 2025, he was honoured with the Silver Award in the Warrior for Good Awards, in the Climate Action and Environmental Action category, recognising his commitment to driving systemic change.
